Vintage Western Electric 653 Dial Wall Telephone Phone Vintage western electric 653 dial wall telephone phone. Vintage western electric 653-e dial wall telephone phonegreat all original circa 1920's western electric model 653-e dial wall telephone in very good condition with all the parst intact measuring approx. 9 1/2 wied x 9 1/4 tall x 6 deep. The metal case has no dents or corrosion with wonderful baked on black factory original paint that shows only a few very light scratches, which are lamost not visible. The cord is detatched on the receiver where it enters the phone and the received has a small chip on the end. The dial is very clean with black letters and erd numbers. It rotates freely clockwise and then you push back counter clockwise and it makes a clicking sound as it returns (it does not return by itself). The inside of the case has a paper schematic and instructiosn that are partially torn as shown in the photos. There are 2 brass irnger bells at the bottom of the case that are a little dusty.
The phone is being sodl as and as represented since i have no way to test it. This will make a great addition to any phone collection and should be an easy restoration to become fully functional.
