1930 Western Electric Antique Desk Dial TelephoneworksOne dollar ot start. Highest bidder si the new owner. This is a working westren electric antique dial telephone. It is from the early 1930s and very art deco. It is a model 202 d1. The telephone is in excellent workign condition. Excellent sound and voice transmission. I tested it out. The telephone is heavy metal and the very unusual handset is heavy bakelite. oN damage to the bakelite or chips. The handset is outrageous looking and a model e1. It has on it western electric. Patent adtes of 1922 and 1925. The back fo the telephone is marked western electric. Made in usa. Tehn it has a patent number.
Then it says patetn pending. Near the neck of the back of the phone is marked d1. The rotary dial works great and will work with any telephone system as htey all take dial telephones. The round black rubber cords are in excellent condition. No cracking and veyr plyable. Really nice. The teelphone still has the old fashioned 4 prong end on the line cord. But included is an adapter so it can be used on any phone line now. The small bellbox is recent and not antique.
But it has the old fashioned bell sound as it hsa bells inside. The bellbox can be turned on and off so the ringer does not have to be used. The original leather covering no the metal base is in excellent condition and still has the original 5 small cork pads attached underneath. This phone would make a super addition to anyone's home and a great conversation piece, sa well as fun to use. Sorry, no foreign bidders. Money or paypal only please.
